We love and are very proud of our Essex roots
The Only Way Is Spirits was founded by Nikki and her love of gin!
After a life-changing injury in 2018, she made the brave decision to swap out her 23 year HR career with Tesco to become a gin distiller. She was determined to produce the smoothest gin she had tasted.
Being very proud of our Essex roots, Nikki chose to use poppy seed as one of the key botanicals in her first London Dry Gin. Poppy is the flower of Essex, and gives the gin that silky smooth mouthfeel that has earned us so many awards.
Our spirits are distilled by Nikki on our hard-working copper still, aptly named Poppy.
Four years later, there’s a range of 10 luxury spirits, including rum, our best-selling tequila, vodka as well as gin. The bold design of the bottles are another brainchild of Nikki’s. They always turn heads and each label design has a meaning too. Check out the poppy heads on the Small Batch Gin label!
